MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Police in Manchester have launched an investigation into the discovery of a severed head found in bushes in the Manningsfield area on Saturday morning.
Reports indicate that officers attached to the Asia Police Station were called to the scene around 10:36 a.m. after residents made the shocking discovery. Residents were reportedly alerted to the remains by dogs that were seen allegedly eating the head.
The unidentified head was retrieved by police and has been removed to the morgue as investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Law enforcement officials have not yet provided details about the victim or any potential suspects, but they are urging anyone with information to come forward.
