Dancehall entertainer Mr Vegas has initiated legal proceedings against fellow artiste Bounty Killa, filing a defamation lawsuit in the Supreme Court.
According to court documents, the claim was filed under the Defamation Act and includes allegations of negligence. The lawsuit centers on electronic posts that were allegedly recorded and published on Bounty Killa’s Instagram account.
Mr Vegas, whose legal name is Clifford Smith, claims the posts—said to have been made on January 8, 2026—caused damage to his reputation and resulted in loss and expense.
Bounty Killa, born Rodney Pryce, is named as the defendant in the matter. The filing indicates that Mr Vegas is seeking general damages along with damages specifically related to defamation.
The claim also requests an injunction to restrain the defendant, or anyone acting on his behalf, from publishing the same or similar defamatory material in the future. Additional relief sought includes interest, legal costs, attorney’s fees, and any other remedies the court deems appropriate.
The matter is scheduled to be heard in the Supreme Court on Monday, January 19.
