Florida — Rapper Lil Tjay was taken into custody Monday evening following an altercation in Florida that occurred shortly before the shooting involving Offset.
According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the 24-year-old artist was arrested and later booked into the Broward County Jail on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct-affray. Authorities confirmed he was issued a $500 bond.
Law enforcement officials say Lil Tjay was involved in a physical dispute prior to the shooting incident. A second individual was also detained at the scene; however, no charges have been filed against that person at this time.
The situation unfolded near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, where Offset sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being shot. He was transported to a nearby hospital and is reported to be in stable condition while receiving medical care.
In a statement, the Seminole Police Department noted that the incident took place in the hotel’s valet area. Officers responded promptly, and the scene was secured as part of an ongoing investigation. Authorities also indicated that operations at the property resumed without disruption and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
Meanwhile, Lil Tjay’s attorney, Dawn Florio, addressed circulating reports, clarifying that her client was not involved in the shooting itself. She emphasized that Lil Tjay was neither injured nor charged in connection with any firearm-related offense, describing claims suggesting otherwise as inaccurate.
The investigation remains active as officials continue gathering details surrounding both the altercation and the shooting.
