Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: A young man who attacked his father with a home-made handgun during a dispute at their home in Old Harbor, St Catherine on Wednesday morning, August 1st, is presently been sought by the police.
The police say they are unable to release the name of the accused at this early time.
Reports by the Old Harbor Police are that about 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the accused was at home in Old Harbor with his father.
It is further reported that a domestic dispute developed between the two, allegedly after the father spoke to him about his actions around the house.
The accused youth went for a homemade handgun which he used to point at his father and threatened him.
The father grabs hold of the firearm and a tussle developed between them. The father overpowered him and took away the illegal weapon and the youth ran.
The police were summoned and the father hand over the weapon to them. The accused is presently been sought.
