Wounded Man Held with Illegal Firearm in Spanish Town

Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: A man who was seen armed with an illegal firearm, with blood dripping from one of his hand, while running along the Spanish Town ByPass, St Catherine,  on  Friday, January 25, was taken into custody by the police.

The name of the accused is being withheld pending further investigations.

Reports are that about 4:30 p.m., a team of police officers were traveling along a section of the Spanish Town ByPass when on reaching a section of New Nursery, in Twickenham Park, they noticed the accused who was running with the weapon in his hand.

He was accosted and held,  and the police also noticed that he had a wound to one of his hands.

The accused was taken to hospital, where he was treated and later released in the custody of the police.
