Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: The Kingston police have confirmed that the woman who was caught in possession of the new born baby which was stolen from the Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston, on Wednesday January 9, was pointed out in an identification parade on Monday and is to be officially charged today, Tuesday, February 12.
It is reported that surveillance cameras at the facility shows the image of the female being on the hospital compound, the very same day the child went missing.
The police have reported that following the disappearance of the child in January they have been carrying out an intensive investigation.
On Tuesday, February 5, the lawmen got a tip off from the authorities at the Register General Department, that a suspicious female was at the department trying to register a child.
The lawmen immediately went to the facility and questioned the female. When her answers did not add up, she was taken into custody and subsequently the baby taken to the forensics lab for DNA testing.
On Wednesday afternoon the DNA testing results came back positive, that the baby was owned by the mother whose child was stolen after she went to investigate he bathroom at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital on January 9.
