Latest Jamaica News: A young woman is now expressing her displeasure in the handling of her situation by the health authorities as she was confirmed positive with the COVID-19.

She was among the 3 new persons who tested positive last week.

The woman who was traveling from New York, admitted that she felt ill while boarding the flight but said that she was self-medicating so she was able to travel. She started feeling the signs of the COVID-19 and reached out to the health authorities but was told to: “not to go to the hospital or any medical center”.

She was told that an ambulance would be sent to her location and she should stay home.

Nothing showed up.

After several other attempted she decided to go to the hospital her self, where, she was isolated and tested– and her test returned positive.

Her family was brought into isolation as well.

He recalled being scorned by a nurse while in isolation- stating that: “she put a water in a basin, then kick it to me and said ‘no disrespect,’ but there are three other nurses who have been kind to me.

She claimed the authorities took long to respond to her and she does not believe they are doing their best.
