Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – 60-year-old Woman Found Burnt: The police in the parish of Westmoreland are at present investigating whether foul play was involved in the death of an elderly woman, whose burnt remains were removed from the debris of her burnt-out house in Williamsfield District in the parish on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Rhoena Frazer, unemployed of Williamsfield District.
The Whithorne police reported that at about 9:30 am on Monday, they received reports that Frazer’s house was seen on fire and it was feared that she may have been burnt alive inside.
The police responded along with a unit from the Savanna-la-mar Fire Department. Upon their arrival, they discovered that the board dwelling house of the elderly woman who lived alone was completely burnt to the ground.
Following a search of the burnt debris, Frazer’s burnt body was discovered. The remains were removed and the victim pronounced dead at hospital.
Investigators are saying they still have not ruled out foul play.
