Jamaica Crime News, Manchester: The Manchester police on Monday, October 8, laid criminal charges against a 51-year-old woman, in connection with the stabbing death of her 40-year-old common-law husband, following a dispute at their home in Woodland district, Manchester on Thursday morning, October 4.
Charged with murder is Miriam Jackson of Woodland district, while the deceased has been identified as Oneil Coleman, a farmer who also resided in Woodland district.
Reports by the Manchester police are that, shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, Coleman and Jackson, who both share a common-law relationship, got involved in an argument at their home.
During the dispute, a knife was brought into play and was used by Jackson to stab Coleman in the regions of his upper body.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Following an investigation, Jackson was taken into custody and subsequently charged with murder.
She is booked to appear in the Manchester Parish Court on Friday, October 12.
