Antonio Mckoy CEO - Mckoy's NewsMontego Bay, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Woman Charged With Fraud in Divorce Case:  Sandra Brown, the woman accused of accepting money from another woman and presenting her with a fake decree absolute certificate, leaving the woman who though she had divorced, still married, made a brief appearance before the St. James Parish Court on Monday, July 17.

The defendant, who is represented by attorney-at-law Tamika Spencer-Anderson, is facing a charge of conspiracy to defraud.

On Monday, the clerk-of-court told the court that the Crown was still awaiting a question document analysis.

On that basis, Parish Judge Natalie Hart-Hines deferred proceedings to October 23 and extended Brown’s bail.

It is alleged that Brown indicated to the complainant that she could provide her with a decree absolute and presented the document to the woman for a certain sum.

Thereafter, the complainant was trying to migrate and presented the document to Foreign Affairs to facilitate her migration process. It was later discovered that the document was not valid, which resulted in Brown being charged.
