Jamaica Crime News, St James: A St. James woman accused of stealing approximately $700,000 from her employer is to return to the St. James Parish Court on September 5 for a plea and case management hearing.

Forty-year-old Tamia Clarke of Granville, St. James, who is facing an embezzlement charge, had her bail extended by presiding judge Sandria Wong-Small when she appeared before the court on Thursday.

Clarke, who was employed as a cashier to Johns Hall Aggregate, is alleged to have falsified the company’s account and reprinted old invoices and robbed the company of over $700,000.

The incident reportedly took place between October and December of 2016.
