Jamaica Crime News, St Andrew: The Kingston police have confirmed that, Shemara Todd, wife of popular entertainment businessman Cory Todd, who was shot almost to death by two motorcycle gunmen last Friday, was also robbed of a large undetermined sum of cash.

Mrs. Todd who narrowly missed being killed after she was attacked by two motorcycle gunmen, was later fleeced of cash allegedly by persons pretending to be good Samaritan shortly after she crashed.

Todd crashed immediately after being shot several times,  while she was traveling along a section of Washington Boulevard on Friday afternoon, August 3.

The Jamaica music fraternity was plunged into mourning after the passing of “Carrot” formerly of world renowned group Third World.

Reports by the police are that about 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Mrs. Todd was driving her Grey Mercedes Benz sports utility vehicle along Washington Boulevard.

On reaching the vicinity of Patrick Drive,  two men travelling on a motorcycle pulled up beside her vehicle and opened fire on her.

Mrs Todd received multiple gunshots to her upper body, but managed to drive away from the scene and crashed into a number of parked vehicles and a perimeter wall which borders a home along the roadway.

She was assisted by passing motorists who rushed her to hospital where she was admitted in critical condition.
