White Horses and Boscobel to contest SDC/Wray & Nephew National Community T20 Cricket Finale

The SDC/Wray & Nephew National Community T20 Cricket competition will conclude with what promises to be an exciting final match between Boscobel and White Horses at the Port Rhoades Sports Club in Discovery Bay, St. Ann on Sunday, August 21st.

The all-island competition which returned in full force this year after being scaled back in 2021 due to the Covid 19 pandemic, is expected to light up the countryside on Sunday.

Participants and fans alike have been gobbling up the action over the last few weekends and are expected to flock to Discovery Bay for the finals showdown that will see White Horses from St. Thomas go up against Boscobel from St. Mary at 2:30 pm, in a bid to crown a new champion from the east.

It is the first time that both teams are contesting the final, from which the winner will take the coveted trophy, bragging rights and a whopping $1.5M grand prize. Second place will take home $750,000.

The third-placed team will earn $375,000 while the fourth-place team will be awarded $187,500.

Before the men chase glory on Sunday however, the female T10 final between Talented Blazers of St. Catherine and St. Mary Angels will begin at 9:00 am.

After the women’s final, there will be another T10 match between St. Catherine Angels and South East Masters from St. Elizabeth starting at 11:30 am.

The day’s activities will then be rounded off by an exciting entertainment package that will feature veteran performer Capleton alongside newer acts Laa Lee, Yungg Muta and King J.

The gates to the games-filled day will open at 8:00 am, admission $1000 per person.
