Jamaica Crime News, St Ann: The St Ann police say a man who was wanted by the Westmoreland police, in connection with a double murder in the parish, in the year 2017, was taken into custody during an operation carried out in the parish on Thursday morning, May 10.

The police have given the identity of the captured man as 20-year-old Garnett Cunningham of Westmoreland.

The St Ann police have reported that shortly after 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, an operation was carried out at a Guest House in the parish where the wanted man was apprehended.

He was processed and arrangements are now being made to transport him back to the parish of Westmoreland, where he will be officially charged and brought before the Court.

Cunningham was being sought in connection with the shooting death of two men in the Savanna-la-mar policing area in July 2017.

A search was launched for the accused, he then fled the parish.
