Jamaica News, Westmoreland: Dozens of residents and members of relevant community groups, turned out in their numbers to support the many Labor Day projects which took place across the parish of Westmoreland on Wednesday, May 23, 2018.

Our news team caught up with Mayor of Savanna-la-mar His Worship Bertel Moore, who stated that he is very pleased with the support that was given by community members to ensure that the Labor Day activities were successful.

Mayor Moore was at the Little London Post Office which was slated as the Parish Project.  The representatives from the Westmoreland Municipal Corporation joined forces with various community groups in the painting, fixing and upgrading of the Post Office.

The team also constructed a Ramp at the ground to make it easier for the disabled to access to the building.

The Mayor also stated that other projects such as the renovation of the Little London High School was also a successful one.

The Westmoreland Infirmary was also given a facelift along with several buildings which served the public in the Bethel Town and Darliston areas.
