Pregnant Mother Murdered in Westmoreland

Jamaica News, March 30, 2018 – Pregnant Mother Murdered
The Morgans Bridge Police in Grange Hill Westmoreland are now carrying out investigation surrounding the shooting death of a 8-month-old pregnant mother in the area on Thursday afternoon,March 29.                                                                                  The deceased, pregnant mother of two has been identified as 33-year-old Lavern Cassandra Poyser of Fullers Field in Westmoreland.
Reports by the Grange Hill police are that,  shortly after 4:20 p.m. on Thursday,  Ms Poyser and her two children, 2 and 6 years old, were at their home in Fullers Field.  Her boyfriend was at a neighbouring house when he heard loud explosions coming from the directions of his home.                                                                                                                He and another residents rushed to the house and discovered the pregnant female lying on the floor in a pool of blood, with multiple gunshot wounds to her head.
The wounded woman was transported to the Savanna-la-mar hospital where she and her unborn child were both pronounced dead.
The two siblings were not hurt.
