Jamaica News: The Negril Police in the parish of Westmoreland say they are now asking members of the public for their assistance to apprehend two men who are being sought in connection with the shooting death of a man in the area on Saturday night of January 6th.

The lawmen have not yet released the name of the suspects but say they are being sought in connection with the murder of Ricardo Poiser, otherwise called “Joe,” 25 years old of Whitehall in Negril.

Reports by the police are that, about 8:30 pm on Saturday January 6th, Poiser was among a group of men playing dominoes at a shop in Whitehall.

Minutes later, the two men who are now being sought, armed themselves with handguns and crept upon
the patrons and open fire hitting Poiser all over his body.

The gunmen then made their escape in the area on foot. Residents alerted the Negril Police and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to the Sav la Mar hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the men is being asked to contact the nearest police station, police 119, Crime Stop or the Negril Police Station.
