Westmoreland Police Searching for Suspect in Connection with Farmer’s Murder

Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: Detectives attached to the Westmoreland Police department say they are now searching for two suspects, in connection with the shooting death of a farmer  at his home in Petersfield, Westmoreland on Thursday, February 14,

The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Gary Ricketts, a farmer also of Petersfield.

Reports by the police are that the 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Ricketts was at his home in Petersfield when a group of armed men kicked open the front door.

The gunmen opened fire hitting Ricketts multiple times before escaping in the area.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Ricketts was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police say they are unable to release the names of the two suspects at this time.
