Westmoreland Pig Farmer Killed while Buying Dinner

Westmoreland, Jamaica (Jamaica News) – Westmoreland Pig Farmer Killed: an ongoing gang warfare between gang members from Delta Street and Darling Street in Sav la Mar, in the parish of Westmoreland, resulted in one man being shot and killed Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Often Wright otherwise called (brother), 27-year-old Pig Farmer of Sav la Mar.

Reports by the Sav la Mar police are that shortly after 10:00 pm on Friday, February 2, Wright went to a Cook Shop in Sav la Mar to purchase food.

While at the shop he was talking to a group of men when three armed men crept upon them and opened fire, hitting  Wright to the upper regions of his body.

The gunmen made their escape in the area on foot, while the police were summoned and upon arrival, the victim was transported to the Savanna la Mar hospital in Westmoreland, where he was pronounced dead.

In the meanwhile, the police have told our Mckoy’s News team that they are now in pursuit of three men in connection with this latest shooting.
