Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: The Narcotics Police on Friday arrested and charged a Westmoreland Mason for Breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act.

The accused has been identified as David Vickers, 41 year old, Mason of Robin River also in Westmoreland. Reports by the police are that, shortly after 4:30 pm, on Friday June 8, a team of officers were carrying out an operation along a section of the Crawford main road.

They signaled the driver of a mini bus which was transporting passengers to stop and the driver complied.  During a search of the vehicle they discovered a bag containing ganja weighing approximately 30 pounds.

The owner of the bag who was later identified as Vickers was taken into custody and later charged with possession of ganja.
