A Westmoreland man who was injured in a motorcycle accident along a section of the Burnt Savannah main road in the parish over a week ago, has succumbed to his injuries at hospital.
The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Denton McIntosh, labourer of a Westmoreland address.
Reports by the Frome police are that last Monday about 12:15 pm, McIntosh was riding a Hi-Rev motorcycle along a section of the Burnt Savannah main road, when he reportedly lost control of the motorcycle which ran off the road, and collided into a utility pole.
McIntosh sustained serious injuries to his head and upper body and was rushed to the Savanna-la-mar Hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition, but later succumbed to his injuries.
Traffic officers attached to the Frome police station have launched an investigation into the crash.
