Another Westmoreland Man Killed

Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Westmoreland Man Killed: Over the past few days, gunmen have gone on a shooting spree in the township of Savanna-la-mar in Westmoreland, killing seven persons.

The latest victim to be murdered in Savanna-la-mar has been identified as Devon Denton, unemployed, of Sterling district in Grange Hill, Westmoreland.

Reports are that about 11:30 am on Tuesday, November 14, Denton was standing along Lewis Street in Savanna-la-mar, when he was approached by a man who was known to him. The man reportedly pulled a handgun and fired several shots, hitting Denton all over his upper body. The gunman made his escape in the area on foot.

On the arrival of the police, Denton was transported to the Savanna-la-mar Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
