Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: A man who was arrested and charged in connection with the seizure of 42 pounds of compressed ganja, at the Sangster’s International Airport in Montego Bay, on Tuesday, May 28, is scheduled to appear in the St James Parish Court today, Thursday, May 30.
The accused Michael Gardener of Negril in Westmoreland has been charged with Dealing in ganja, Possession of ganja, and Attempting to export ganja.
Reports are that, Gardener was in the process of boarding a flight at the Sangster’s International Airport when his luggage were search.
The lawmen discovered a hidden compartment inside one of the suitcases, which contained compressed ganja weighing approximately 24 pounds. He was arrested and subsequently charged.
