Jamaica News, April 10, 2018 – Westmoreland Man Fatally Shot
Westmoreland, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – A 20-year-old man was shot and killed by one of two gunmen in the parish of Westmoreland on Monday evening, April 9.
He has been identified as Najay Christie, unemployed of a Hudson Street address in Sav-la-mar Westmoreland.
Reports by the Sav-la-mar police are that, shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Najay was standing outside his gate at his home in Hudson Street when two men rode up to him on a motorcycle.
Both men brandished handguns and opened fire hitting Christie several times to his upper body. The gunmen then rode away from the scene and escaped.
The Sav-la-mar police were alerted and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to the Sav-la-mar hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators say they believed this latest killing has stemmed from the recent gang flare up within the township of Sav-la-mar.
