Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: The Morgan’s Bridge Police in the parish of Westmoreland say they have now laid criminal charges against a man who was caught in possession of an illegal firearm in the Top Lincoln area on Monday afternoon of June 18th.

The police have also reported that, the 32 year old accused has been identified as, Glendan James, unemployed and who hails from Mint Road also in the parish.

James who is presently being held at the Negril lockup was charged for Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition.

Reports by the police are that, about 12:30 pm on Monday, police were on operation in the Top Lincoln area of Westmoreland when they say James travelling on board a Toyota Axio motor car. The vehicle was stopped and searched and the illegal firearm a Ruger .9mm semi-automatic pistol loaded with 15 live rounds were seized.
