Westmoreland Farmer Brutally Murdered, House Set Ablaze

Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- WESTMORELAND FARMER BRUTALLY MURDERED AND HOUSE SET ON FIRE: The Darliston Police in the parish of Westmoreland are now carrying out investigations into the brutal slaying of a 60 year old farmer who was discovered with his hands and feet bound, a  blunt in his mouth gagged and his throat slashed in his burnt house in the area on Monday morning.

The dead farmer as been identified has Wilbert Salmon otherwise called ” Selvin ” of Orange Hill  also in Westmoreland.

Reports by the Darliston police are that Salmon was last seen alive by residents in Orange Hill about 6:30 pm on Sunday. At About 5:00 am on Monday, October 2nd residents in the community alerted the police and the Fire Department after fire was seen coming from a section of Salmon’s two apartment concrete structured house.

The lawmen and the fire fighters rushed to the area and discovered that the house was engulfed in flames. It took them several hours to put out the blaze after which a search of the dwelling was carried out.

The search of the burnt rubbles led to the discovery of the charred remains of the Westmoreland farmer brutally murdered. The victim was later transported to the Sav la mar Hospital where he was pronounced dead and his body removed to the morgue for post mortem examination.
