Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: Westmoreland Electrician Held One man who was arrested in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm in Savanna-la-mar, Westmoreland on Saturday, March 16, has now been officially charged.

He has been identified as 36-year-old Garnet Graham, an electrician of Strawberry district in Westmoreland and he has since been charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

Illegal Firearm Seized in Westmoreland

Reports by the police are that about 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, a team of officers were on patrol duties in the area when the saw Graham traveling in a motor car.

He was signaled to stop and he complied. During a search of the vehicle, the lawmen discovered a  .38 pistol which was loaded with three .38 cartridges.

He was taken into custody and subsequently slapped with charges. He is booked to appear in the Western Regional Gun Court at a later date.
