Jamaica News, March 19, 2018 –  Elderly Domestic Helper Murdered

Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The Whithorn police in the parish of Westmoreland have now launch a full investigation surrounding the shooting death of an elderly woman in the area on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as 54-year-old Marilyn Brown, domestic helper of Waterworks.

Reports by the police are that shortly after 11:30 p.m., residents in Waterworks community alerted the police after hearing several loud explosions coming from the directions of Brown’s home.

The lawmen rushed to the scene and upon arrival, they stumbled upon the body of the victim lying on the floor of her house.  She had what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body.

The body was removed from the scene and pronounced dead at the Savanna-la-mar hospital.
