Westmoreland Con-Man Who Fleeced Female Out of $1.3-Million, Held in Portmore after Hiding for Over a Year

An alleged con-man who hails from the parish of Westmoreland, and who allegedly conned a female out of cash amounting to over $1.3-million, after he informed her that he could acquire two motor vehicles on her behalf, was apprehended in St Catherine, on Wednesday, September 9.

The alleged con-man has been identified as 65-year-old Clive Adjudan, a farmer of Georges Plain, in Westmoreland.

Reports are that in early 2019, the female allegedly gave Adjudan cash amounting to Jamaican $1.3-million, to source two motor vehicles on her behalf.

After being presented with the cash, the accused was not seen or heard from by the female again, until Wednesday morning, when she spotted him in Portmore, St Catherine.

The woman sought the assistance of police officers on the location, and Adjudan was held and transported to the Central Police station.

He was questioned, and subsequently charged with Obtaining Money by means of false pretenses and is scheduled to appear in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court, on Monday, September 14.
