Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: A 63-year-old businessman who owned and operated a business establishment in the parish of Westmoreland, was shot and killed by gunmen in Negril, Westmoreland on Friday morning, January 25.
The deceased has been identified as Patrick Weise of West End Negril and owner of Weisemart also in West End.
Reports by the Negril police are that about 9:50 a.m. on Friday, Mr. Weise and two of his employees were standing along a section of West End in Negril when a group of men drove up in a Toyota Corolla motor car.
The men alighted from the vehicle, brandished handguns and opened fire hitting Weise multiple times to his upper body.
The gunmen then escaped in the waiting motor car and the police were summoned. The wounded man was transported to the Savanna-la-mar hospital where he was pronounced dead.
