Latest Jamaica News: Alicia Allen Murdered – The Old Harbour Police are now probing the circumstances surrounding the death of a female whose decomposed body was discovered in a shallow grave in a yard in Patrick Street, Old Harbour, on Saturday, September 14.
The body is presumed to be that of 17-year-old Alicia Allen of the same community. Investigators say because of the vast state of decomposition, they will only be able to confirm its identity when a DNA analysis is done. However, family members confirmed that it is the teenage mother.
The police have now listed 22-year-old Jermaine Dawkins, the father of Allen’s 19-month-old daughter, as a person of interest.
Residents in the community summoned the police after they detected a foul odor coming from a goat pen located at the back of a premises occupied by Dawkins and other relatives.
Upon arrival of the police, the scene was processed and the body was removed and taken to the morgue.
Allegations are that the couple were involved in an intimate relationship for the past two years, however, they are known to have arguments which oftentimes get physical.
Allen was last seen on September 7 by her relatives, while Dawkins who works at a Block factory was last seen on September 7, based on information supplied by his relatives.
A missing person’s report was never filed for neither of the two.
A post-mortem will be carried out on Allen’s body to determine the cause of death.
