Jamaica Crime News, Trelawny: A man who the Trelawny police say was featured on the list of most wanted men in the parish, since May of 2016, was apprehended by the police in Sherwood Content District on Tuesday afternoon. October 9.
The accused who was being sought for murder has been identified as Evan Williams, 44-year-old laborer also of Sherwood Content.
Reports by the police are that on Tuesday afternoon, an off-duty police officer was assisting with a domestic dispute in the community when he saw a man fitting the description of the wanted man.
The man was accosted and held, and later discovered to be Williams.
He was being sought for the stabbing murder of Basil Sinclair, which occurred at a shop in Sherwood Content District in May 2016.
