Wadadah Wins Championship

Jamaica News: Wadadah Football Team from the Mount Salem community of St James were crowned mid season champions of the Charley’s JB Rum sponsored Western Confederation Football League on Sunday, February 24, 2019, in their encounter against Faulkland FC at Jarrett Park, Montego Bay, St. James.

Wadadah through a goal by Kemar James was just enough to give the former premier league champions the victory. For the win, Wadadah collects a trophy plus $50,000.00, while second place Faulkland collects $20,000.00. The teams advanced to the finals by topping their respective zones during the preliminaries. Last season in the Confederation Final with both teams, Wadadah prevailed through a 6-5 penalties to advance to the Premier League Playoffs, but they failed to go to top football league.

Sport Administrator Grateful for Recognition

Coach of Wadadah, Daniel Ricketts is leaving no stones unturned as he is held bent on going to premier league this year. After the match, the presentation was held immediately.
