Vendor who was Shot Outside Mona Primary Has Died

Jamaica Crime News: Police attached to the St Andrew police station, has now confirmed that the vendor who was shot by one of two men, outside the gates of the Mona Primary School, in St Andrew, on Friday, October 19th, succumbed to gunshot wounds at the hospital.

The deceased has been identified as Dane Howell, who also resides in St Andrew.Reports by the police are that about 11:00am, Howell was among a group of other vendors conducting business outside the school gate, when two men rode to the area on a motorcycle.

The motorcycle stopped, and the pillion jumped from the back ,and walked up to Howell,  and opened fire hitting him multiple times to his upper body.

The gunman then escaped on the waiting motorcycle.

The police were summoned, and upon arrival the wounded vendor was transported to hospital, where he was treated and admitted, but he later succumbed to his injuries.

The shooting incident forced closure to the school activities for the day,  and parents were contacted to come and pick up their  children as quickly as possible.
