UWI Student Perished in St Mary Crash

Jamaica News, St Mary: A female student, who attends the University of the West Indies (UWI) Mona, lost her life in a motor vehicle accident which occurred along a section of the Gully main road in Oracabessa, St Mary on Sunday morning of July 15th.

The dead student has been identified as 18-year-old Abigail Angus.

Reports are that about 4:15 am on Sunday, Abigail and a family member were travelling in a SUV jeep in Oracabessa, St Mary.

Fatal Accident along PJ Patterson Highway 

On reaching a section of the Gully main road, the driver lost control of the vehicle which ran off the roadway and crashed into a tree in a gully.

Both Abigail and the other occupant of the vehicle sustained injuries and were rushed to hospital. Upon arrival, the teenage girl was pronounced dead while the other victim was admitted in serious condition.
