US Seeks DJ Tall Boss Extradition: Senior Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Jeremy Taylor disclosed the statements of extradition by US Justice Department to the attorneys of 48-year-old Jamaica-born Davey Scott. He is wanted for drug trafficking and assault charges in New Jersey.
Scott was captured in Portmore, St Catherine on January 23, by detectives of the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC). He reportedly jumped his New Jersey, US bail in 2004 and fled the US to his native Jamaica, where he built a new life as a disc jockey and sound system promoter under the names ‘DJ Tall Boss’ and ‘DJ Tallman.’ He is the owner of the famed Portmore sound system Di Unit, which produces the annual Portmore Dancehall Awards.
According to authorities, Scott tried in 2001 to sell 25 pounds of marijuana to an undercover officer with the Bergen County, New Jersey’s Prosecutor Office – Narcotics Task Force. During the bust, he tried to get away, accelerating at high speed, striking down an undercover detective with his vehicle.

Charges for Davey Scott includes possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, aggravated assault on a police officer and hindering apprehension.
After being released on bail, he did not make his 2004 court appearance and have not been seen in the US since.
