Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Postal Worker Jumps off Building: This is an update to yesterday’s breaking news of an employee attached to the Central Sorting Office at South Camp Road, attempted suicide. Employees at the said government entity are to receive grief counselling following the incident.

An investigation into the attempted suicide is currently underway, however colleagues have been left shaken and shocked at this bizarre incident, which took place at approximately midday.

A footage of the incident has since been making the rounds on social media, which shows the employee falling from the high-rise building after he jumped and a person some distance away on the roof trying to move forward in a bid to stop him from jumping. This move, however, proved futile.

After security personnel were called to the scene of the incident, the male employee was rushed to hospital. The man’s mother was notified and Post Master General, Michael Gentles said that he is now waiting for the results of the investigation in order to avoid speculation surrounding the incident.

Up to press time yesterday, it was noted that the employee was recovering in hospital.
