Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: The Spanish Town police say they have now made a breakthrough into the identities of the male and female, who were shot and killed by gunmen along a section of Old Harbor Road in Spanish Town, on Thursday afternoon, January 24.

The police have released the names of the victims as 21-year-old Vaughn Smith, otherwise called Mr. Cool and 19-year-old Serena Kerr, both of Shelter Rock community in Spanish Town.

Reports by the police are that about 2:30 p.m., residents living along Old Harbor road alerted the police, after hearing gunshots being fired at a section of the area.

The police rushed to the location and upon reaching the vicinity of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, they stumbled upon the bodies of the male and the female.

Both Smith and Kerr  had multiple gunshot wounds to their upper bodies.

The scene was processed by the lawmen who later transported the victims to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
