
St. James, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Cambio Cashier Murder: One of two men who reportedly shot and killed a man along a section of Fustic Road in St James on March 21st 2017 and also shot and injured a female have been caught and slapped with murder charges on Friday June 2nd 2017.
The accused as been identified as Courtney Lazarus and he as been charged with the murder of 33-year-old male Cambio cashier Richard Samuels of Costal Place in Bogue Village. Lazarus is also charged with Shooting with Intent, Wounding with Intent and illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition against a 45 years old female, who was shot and injured by the said gunmen.
Cambio Cashier Murder: Reports are that about 9:00 am on March 21st Samuels was walking towards his work place in Montego Bay. On reaching the intersection of Barnett Street and Fustic Road he was approached by two men armed with handguns.
The men opened fire hitting Samuels several times to his upper body. The female who was at the said location also received gunshot wounds in the hail of gunfire.
The gunmen made their escape in the area on foot while both victims were rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where Samuels later died whilst being treated and the female admitted in serious condition.
Lazarus was picked up during a sting operation several days ago and pointed out during an identification parade as one of the gunmen who carried out the shooting. He was subsequently slapped with charges.
