Unidentified Man Fatally Shot in Kingston 

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: An unidentified man who reportedly challenged members of the security forces in a shootout in Kingston on Tuesday night, October 9, was fatally shot by the police.

A homemade handgun loaded with one live 9mm round was taken from him.

Reports by the police are that about 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday,  a team of police officers were on Patrol duties along a section of East Street in Kingston when they saw the unidentified male acting in a suspicious manner.

Upon seeing the lawmen approaching, the man brandished a handgun and pointed it at the police.

The lawmen took evasive action and opened fire hitting the unidentified male to his upper body.

He was later transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
