Unidentified Man Drowns, Body Fished From Sea in Hanover

Hanover, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Unidentified Man Drowns: The body of a fisherman was fished from the water in Sandy Bay, Hanover on Tuesday morning.

The police have reported that the identity of the deceased has not yet been established but it is believed that he hails from the community of Unity Hall in St James.

Reports by the .police are that shortly after 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday (January 2, 2018) several employees of an Adventure Tour company in Sandy Bay raised an alarm when they saw the body of a man floating in the water.

The Sandy Bay police were alerted and on arrival, they fished the victim from the water. Following investigations, it was disclosed that the victim is believed to have died from drowning.

The police say they are now carrying out a series of investigations into this suspected drowning incident.
