Unidentified Male Shot and Killed in Exchange of Gunfire

Clarendon, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Unidentified Male Shot: On Thursday, November 30, 2017, a joint police/military foot and mobile patrol was on duty in the Water Lane Farm community. The law officers received information that a group of heavily armed men were at Water Lane Farm, Effortville, Clarendon.

While proceeding to Water Lane, at approximately 9:37 the patrolmen were greeted with gunfire; the gunfire was returned and the gunmen ran in different directions. After the shooting subsided, one man was found lying on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and clutching a black Traban 9mm pistol with magazine containing 2 live 9mm rounds. He was searched and another magazine containing fifteen (15) live 9mm rounds found in his pants pocket. He was rushed to the May Pen Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The unidentified male is said to be about 5’ 10” long, of slim built, dark complexion and appears to be in his twenties.

The police are continuing their investigations.
