Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: The Savanna-la-mar police in the parish of Westmoreland, say they have now laid criminal charges against two men, who were found in possession of an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition, at a house in Farm Pen district on Tuesday, October 9.
Charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition are Clive James, 26-year-old laborer and Dean Leavy, 22-year-old truck driver, both of Normalcy in Farm Pen, Westmoreland.
Reports by the police are that about 1:35 p.m. on Tuesday, a team of officers armed with a warrant carried out a search operation at a house occupied by both men.
During the search of the house, the illegal weapon, a. 38 pistol, loaded with Three live rounds, were found in a box.
Both James and Leavy were arrested and subsequently charged.
