The Westmoreland police have arrested and charged two female bartenders with Illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, following the seizure of an Illegal gun and several rounds of ammunition, at a bar where they are both employed, at New Works, in Westmoreland.
The accused have been identified as 19-year-old Kimberly Quest, otherwise called ‘Kim’, and 18-year-old Keisha McDonald, otherwise called ‘Deanie’, both of Water Works community.
Reports by the police are that about 3:15 pm, on Sunday, May 30, the police carried out a raid at a bar where both females were employed.
During a search of the bar, the lawmen saw a camouflage bag hanging on a nail behind the counter, which was also searched.
The bag was found to contain a Browning 9mm semi-automatic pistol, fitted with a magazine containing 11 live 9mm rounds of ammunition.
A further search of the bag led to the discovery of six additional 9mm cartridges, and lead sheets, containing names, addresses and telephone numbers of persons living overseas.
Both women were questioned and subsequently charged.
