Trelawny, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Two Trelawny Men Shot: One man was shot and killed and another shot and injured at Hampden Land in the parish of Trelawny on Wednesday night.
Dead is Mario Cope otherwise called Kemo, 28-yr-old farmer of Dumfries in St James, while a 33-yr-old hotel steward of Hampden Land is now nursing gunshot wounds at hospital.
Reports by the Falmouth police are that about 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, Cope drove his Nissan Tida motor car from Dumfries in St James to Hampden Land in Trelawny to visit his child’s mother. On reaching his destination he was in the process of alighting from the vehicle when one man armed with a handgun alighted from bushes and fired several shots at him.
The gunman fired at another man who ran from the car; he too was shot and injured. The police were alerted and on arrival, both men were rushed to the Falmouth Hospital where Cope was pronounced dead and the other man treated and admitted.
