Jamaica Crime News, St Mary: The police have now confirmed that two suspects have been taken into custody, in connection with the shooting death of two men, as well as, the shooting and wounding of a 19-year-old woman in Frazerwood district, Highgate, St. Mary on Saturday, September 22.
The police have indicated that the two suspects were taken into custody during Sunday and Monday, during several operations carried out in the community.
In the meanwhile, investigators reported that Ryan Walker, one of the men who was shot and killed by gunmen is a reputed gang leader, who hails from Brown’s Town in the parish of St Ann.
A police source told our news team that Walker who is known as “Evil” is said to be the leader of an active gang, who has been in and out of hot water with the law on numerous occasions.
Walker along with Andre Black, otherwise called “Brimma” of Frazerwood, were shot and killed, while the female was shot and injured.
Reports by the St Mary police are that about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Walker and Black were in the company of the female at a house in Frazerwood, when a group of armed men entered the yard and opened fire.
All three victims received gunshot wounds to their upper bodies and were transported to hospital, where Walker and Black were pronounced dead, and the female treated and admitted in serious but stable condition.
Since the start of the year, a total of 25 persons have been murdered throughout the parish of St Mary, comparing to 21 persons murdered at year’s end, in 2017.
