St James Jamaica(Mckoys News) – Two St James Men Executed: During the course of Thursday (September 28, 2017) night to Friday (September 29, 2017) morning, a total of two men have been shot and killed in Lottery District in St James and one man shot and injured. The police have indicated that the two deceased men in the first shooting have been identified only as Yankee and a 24-year-old man both of Lottery District. So far, the name of the victim in the second shooting has not yet been released.
Reports by the Amity Hall police are that about 8:30 p.m. on Thursday night the man known as Yankee was traveling in a Toyota Voxy van registered 7323 HJ and driven by the 24-year-old man. On reaching a section of the Lottery main road, a man armed with a handgun jumped out of the bushes and opened fire on the vehicle hitting both men and causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle which overturned.
The gunman made his escape in the area on foot while passing motorists assisted both victims to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where the man known as Yankee was pronounced dead and the other man admitted in serious condition.
About 6:00 p.m., residents in the area reported hearing gunshots being fired in the same vicinity where the first shooting took place. On arrival of the police, one man was discovered suffering from gunshot wounds. Several 9mm spent shells were recovered from both scenes. The police are currently still in the area carrying out processing and investigations.
