Jamaica News, March 23, 2018 – Two St Ann Females Charged  
St Ann, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – A 16-year-old girl and a 26-year-old woman are behind bars after they were reportedly caught with ganja at the Norman Manley International Airport on Wednesday afternoon.
The teenage student and a 26-year-old waitress, Shelly-Ann Thomas, both from Ocho Rios, St. Ann, have been charged with possession of ganja, dealing in ganja, taking steps to export ganja and conspiracy.
Mckoy’s News understands that around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, Thomas and the teenager arrived at the airport in Kingston and checked in to board a flight to Barbados. Once their luggage was screened, three parcels containing six pounds of compressed ganja was found. The ganja has an estimated street value of US$22,400.
They are scheduled to appear in the St. Andrew Parish Court on Monday.
