Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: Two Police Officers Charged The two police officers who were recently charged in connection with the controversial shooting in Chedwin Park, St Catherine, were remanded into custody when they appeared in the Home Circuit Court in Kingston, on Monday, May 20.

Both officers who have been identified as Corporal Kirk Frazer and Corporal Ramone Scott, are facing charges of Murder, Illegal possession of firearm and Shooting with intent.

Detectives attached to the Independent Commission of Investigation, recently handed over the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Paula Llewellyn, who ruled that both men were to be charged.

Reports are that during the month of April, the three cops went to Chedwin Park, where an event was being held.

The officers then allegedly shot and killed, Kingston businessman, Sheldon “Junior Biggs” Daley, and fled the scene.

The off-duty cop who was at the venue saw what was taking place and pursued the three men not knowing that they were police officers.

During the chase, one of the officers were shot and killed, and the vehicle in which they were traveling collided with another car, which was traveling in another direction.

A civilian who was traveling in the other vehicle was also killed.

Following post-mortem investigations carried out on the bodies of the policeman and the other civilian driver, it was disclosed that they both died from the blow of a blunt instrument, and not from gunshot wounds.
