The Cambridge police in St James have launched a manhunt for two men, who they say are behind the shooting and wounding of a man and a woman at Tank Road in the community, on Tuesday, March 29.
The injured victims, a 36-year-old unemployed female of Tank Road, and a 30-year-old electrician of New Road, both in Cambridge, remain at hospital in serious but stable condition.
Reports are that about 9:30 am, both victims were among a group of persons having a drink at a shop located in a section of the area known as Train Line, when they were ambushed by men armed with handguns.
The gunmen opened fire hitting the two victims who managed to run from the scene, despite being injured.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded victims were rushed to the Cornwall Regional hospital where they were treated and admitted. A manhunt was launched for the two shooters who are well known in the community.
